The Pixel Watch is available after years of leaks, rumors, and direct source teasers. Google unveiled its new wearable at its hardware presentation in Brooklyn.

Available colors

There are four colorways available for the Pixel Watch. They were Matte black with an obsidian band, polished silver with either chalk (white) or charcoal (grey) band, and champagne gold with a brown band.

While the Lemongrass band that goes with the smaller Pixel 7 color of the same name must be purchased separately, each matches a Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro hue. Stainless steel, which is heavier and more durable than aluminum.

OS in Google Pixel Watch

The Google Pixel Watch is with Wear OS 3.5, making it the most recent Wear OS device available. At the moment, along with the newest watches from Samsung, it will be compatible.

Also, it is compatible with all of the standard Wear OS features. Hence these features include access to the Play Store, Google’s services like Maps and Wallet, and the new wearable Google Home app.

The watch also boasts close Fitbit integration, including features like Active Zone Minutes. Additionally, a Daily Readiness Score and continuous heart rate monitoring. It is familiar to Fitbit customers.

Exynos 9110 in the Pixel Watch

The Exynos 9110 is in the Pixel Watch. Further, it debuted in the first-generation Samsung Galaxy Watch in 2018 and is, in fact, the older Samsung processor. There have been rumors of powering the device since May.

However, Google also added a Cortex-M33 co-processor. Hence this processor eases some of the workloads on the deteriorating Samsung silicon. The Pixel Watch includes two gigabytes of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 lineup’s 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Battery Life

Google estimates the battery life of the Pixel Watch to last “up to 24 hours,” which we think is a modest estimate. It can last up to three days on a charge with an active always-on display.

Google has competing smartwatches from the likes of Samsung and Apple beaten handily there. The supplied charging puck has a USB-C port at the other end that can charge the Pixel Watch up to 50% in just half an hour. A full charge takes approximately an hour and 20 minutes.

The LTE model can be added by Fi members “without additional line fees on most plans.” According to Google, who notes that both the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and LTE versions are available.

In the US, the LTE device will cost $400, while the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi version will cost $350. Pre-orders commence now and on October 13. The product will be generally available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, and Taiwan.
