Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 20, titled “Memory”, will cover a cold case. The team learns about some unexpected discoveries. Furthermore, it would bring a lot of mental turmoil in the lives of the characters. Speaking of Ruzek or Burgess, you’ll see one problem pile on top of another, and the trauma will continue to grow. They will face some difficult situations as they deal with their personal trauma.

This is because Voight and the team will investigate a cold case in the upcoming episode. Since the case is related to another cold case, they will dive into this old case first to learn more about this new crime and how to solve it. It won’t be easy for Burgess and Ruzek, though, as the case will bring back some old memories that relate to them in some way and may also affect their mental healing.

A quick summary!

The previous episode, titled “Fools Gold,” focused on Kevin Atwater and his relationship with Celeste. She broke up after learning that Kevin is not a police officer. In the last episode, he was drinking in a bar when someone offered him to walk home with the bartender. But he refused to go upstairs when the bartender asked her to come. So she tells him he’s not done with anyone yet. She was right when Kevin calls Celeste quickly and leaves a weekly voicemail. But on the way home, he sees the police officers trying to break into the house.

He finds a man dead and a woman hiding in the garage attic with a gunshot wound. Later, Kevin visited a woman named Raquel to learn more about the attack. So she tells him that two masked men broke into her house. Later, the intelligence unit hears about another robbery. The team discovers they’re members of the same private club, so they grill up a bartender named Joey. But one suspect managed to flee. Halstead later discovers that all of the victims have a connection to Raquel’s interior design company. So Burgess and Atwater pick up Raquel from the airport and interrogate her.

Unfortunately, Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 20, titled “Memory”, will not return this week. The series is currently on hiatus, and the reason behind this remains unclear.
