Senior lawyer Geeta Luthra, who appeared before Jindal, cited Nupur Sharma’s order and urged the court to grant Jindal similar protections from coercive measures and hand over all FIRs filed against him in various parts of the country. to the Delhi Police.

Additional Solicitor General Vikramjit Banerjee, who appeared on behalf of the investigative agency, did not oppose the plea.

A bench headed by Judge MR Shah said: “Given that the respective complaints of the FIRs seeking to be transferred to New Delhi stem from the same tweet by the same Twitter handle, and also taking into account the order of this court on September 23, we have the current subpoena petition.
