After the ropeway is ready, the people of Kashi will also get freedom from the daily jam. Usually it takes 45 minutes to travel from Cantt to Godaulia. But, after the ropeway is built, this journey will be reduced to 15 minutes.

Model of ropeway system ready, amount released for construction of first phase
The model of the country’s first urban transport ropeway system is ready. Now just waiting for it to land. The money for the first phase has been released for the ropeway project. Under the first phase, Rs 31 crore has been released by the administration.
This project is being described as a milestone for Dharmanagari Kashi. With the completion of the ropeway, not only will the transport system improve, but tourism will also get a boost. In the first phase, Cantt Railway Station, Vidyapeeth Station Rath Yatra, Church and Godaulia Station will be connected.
The route of five stations will be 4.5 km
Varanasi Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma told that India’s first rupee is now going to be made in Varanasi. The work of the first face is about to begin. Tender has also been given for this. Rs 31 crore has been passed for the 4.5 kilometer route of five stations.
Kaushal Raj Sharma told that this ropeway will be connected to Cantt railway station, so that the passengers coming from outside can avail the facility of direct ropeway. It is our endeavor to start this facility in the coming year.
Know the special things about the ropeway…
In the first phase, the journey will start from Cantt to Godaulia.
During this, the ropeway will pass through a total of 5 stations.
During this, a journey of 4.5 km will have to be covered.
Ropeway car facility will be available every 1.5 minutes.
The ropeway car will have seating facility for 11 people.
The entire project will cost Rs 200 crore.
