The bezel is rumored to be chunky, and this leaked image of Google’s new Pixel Watch has given us our clearest look yet. It looks like it takes up almost 10mm of the rumored 41mm diameter of the case. For the most part, Wear OS 3 does a good job of obscuring the black bezel, making it look like it’s part of the screen. But this particular menu makes it very clear. The image is part of a larger leak sparked by Japanese retailer Joshin and shared by WinFuture’s Roland Quandt on Twitter.
Following the announcement at I/O in May, specs, images, features and details of the Pixel Watch’s interchangeable bands have been leaked steadily ahead of the wearable’s full unveiling at Thursday’s Pixel event. Now all that’s left for Google to do is officially announce the price and put it up for sale.
In summary, the Pixel Watch has an “enhanced” version of Wear OS 3, with access to native apps like Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Wallet and Google Home, as well as Fitbit integration to view and track health information. It is expected to cost $349 for the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth only variant and $399 if you want LTE connectivity.
The Pixel Watch will be joined by the Pixel 7 on stage tomorrow, with the event kicking off at 10 a.m. ET. We may even be treated to a few surprises. Here’s everything we expect to see.
