The chief minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, on Saturday inspected stormwater drainage projects under construction in various parts of Chennai.

By Pramod Madhav: The chief minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, on Saturday inspected the stormwater drainage and dredging works being carried out in various parts of Chennai. During the inspection, CM ordered the timely completion of the work without compromising quality.
On Twitter, CM Stalin wrote: “As in previous years, stormwater drainage and dredging work continues to ensure that the situation is flood-free. I have inspected the areas below northern Chennai and ordered the work to be completed quickly and without any compromise. in quality.” (sic)
70 to 80 percent of the work in South Chennai is over while work in North Chennai is still ongoing, said CM Stalin, who claimed the rain slowed work a bit. However, he assured that the work would be completed within 15 to 30 days so that Chennai could cope with any amount of rain.
