Hataraku Maou-sama – Okawari!! new release date in July 2022

The news comes from Japan, where Satoshi Wagahara has announced that a sequel novel to The Devil is a Part-Timer will be released this summer. When July arrives, the series returns to Maou with Hataraku Maou-sama – Okawari, a new light novel book. The work is signed by 029 and will take place in 2020, after the events of Wagahara’s latest novel.

Fans aren’t quite sure at this point which sequel is coming, but they do have some big requests. Indeed, it seems that readers are still fixated on both the conclusion and the love triangle. If you’ve read the light novels, you know that after coming to Earth, Maou was torn between his feelings for Emi and Chiho.

Fans were open about their affection for Emi and many predicted that the two stars would end up together. The light novels ended with Maou and Chiho getting close. Emi kept quiet about her thoughts after her friend confessed.

The Devil is a Part-Timer left the door open for Maou to expand his harem, but the last-minute switch with Chiho disappointed many readers.

Fans expect this to be addressed, if not completely, in Wagahara’s upcoming work. For now, only time can tell how Maou resolves his conflicting emotions, so let’s hope supporters are happy with whatever decision he makes.
