The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World anime release date is set for January 2023, the Winter 2023 anime season.
The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is a mouthful of English, but the manga gets me excited for the anime. On April 28, 2022, Kodansha announced the anime project but hasn’t revealed anything except that we can expect the anime to premiere in early 2023.
What is The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Over the World about?
The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is set in the Arnold Academy. A prestigious school for training the elite in magic.
But Ray White is no noble, he is the first common man to be admitted to the Arnold Academy, and he is a klutz with few magical skills.
But most students can’t disturb Ray because it’s rumored that the Iceblade Sorcerer is going to the Arnold Academy.
Why would anyone waste time on Ray when they could find the strongest wizard instead, right? I’ve read the first three chapters of the mangaand i’m addicted.
What else do we know about The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World?
Nana Mikoshiba is the author of the novel and the light novels, which are still running. Unfortunately they are only available in Japan so I can’t compare the mediums.
But English readers are in luck, because Kodonasha USA has translated the first two parts of the manga. The seventh volume of the manga was released in Japan on January 7, 2022.
Norihito Sasaki illustrates the manga. Four light novels are available and Riko Korie illustrates them.
Kodansha began publishing the light novels under their Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint on July 2, 2020. The fifth light novel will be published on May 2, 2022.
Should you read the manga before watching the anime?
I will, since I can’t read the novels yet. This is a series that feels familiar but fresh. We have a main character with a complicated past.
He attends the best school, but his skills are everywhere. The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule The world’s first three chapters have a lot of heart.
If you like school/training stories then this is for you. I hope they translate the novels/light novels. I need to immerse myself in Ray’s mind and figure out what’s going on in Chapter 1.
Because two parts of the manga are not enough for me, and there will be no spoilers this time!
