After a nearly three-year delay, Hulu’s Season 3 The Orville finally launched last month and turned out to be worth the wait. Now creator Seth MacFarlane has announced an additional fee for fans – the first three seasons of the series will also be streamed on Disney+.

The Orville was relatively popular with critics, but moved from a much wider distribution with Fox to Hulu’s smaller audience after two seasons. However, with more than 85 million subscribers internationally, Disney+ will significantly expand its pool of potential viewers.

“I’m excited to see all three seasons of The Orville to Disney+,” MacFarlane said. “Creating this show has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career, and I am immensely grateful to Disney for giving us the opportunity to Orville community further. I can’t wait for a new audience to experience this series.”

The extra focus on The Orville with Disney+ could be crucial for the series, as there is no green light for a fourth season yet. MacFarlane himself has not revealed anything in that regard, saying, “I don’t think we’ll know until this season is over.” The final two episodes of Season 3 will air on July 28 and August 4, and all three seasons will air on Disney+ on August 10.
