If you prefer a more affordable console than the Xbox Series X – or one that’s more readily available than the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Digital Edition – you can re-purchase the Xbox Series S from Microsoft at its lowest price yet. Normally $299.99, Adorama is currently selling the entry-level Xbox for $249.99 when you use the promo code XBOXS2250 at the cash register.

Microsoft Xbox Series S

The Xbox Series S is much smaller than the 4K-capable Xbox Series X, but it can still handle the same digital games, albeit at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 QHD. With extensive backwards compatibility, it also plays original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games. You can buy it today for $249.99 ($50 off) from Adorama when you use the promo code XBOXS2250 at the cash register.

Although the Xbox Series S does not have a disc drive, it can play the same games as the Series X and is backwards compatible with original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games. It also targets 1440p resolution and up to 120fps in supported games (with 4K upscaling), although many games now still run at 1080p. The console also offers only 512 GB of internal storage. Unlike the Series X, however, it’s compact enough to easily place it on your desk, in an entertainment center, or almost anywhere. Plus, the next-gen console is less than half the price of the Series X, which currently retails for $499.99. It’s a great little Game Pass machine and the cheapest way to access next-gen gaming.
