Who is Cameron Herrin?
American convicted felon Cameron Coyle Herrin was born on September 9, 1999 in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA, making Virgo his zodiac sign. He was unknown on the internet until May 23, 2018, when he punched and killed 24-year-old Jessica Reisinger-Raubenolt and her 21-month-old daughter Lillia with his 2018 Ford Mustang, which his mother had bought him as a high school graduation present.
Education and early life
Cameron and his older brother Tristan were raised in Tampa Bay by their mother Cheryl Herrin, who once worked as a manager at State Farm Insurance and is now retired, and father Chris Herrin, who is a filmmaker and editor who prefers to stay away from the media.
Cameron attended Tampa Catholic High School and was quite popular there due to his attractive looks and wealthy family. He enjoyed a number of activities, as he played both football and lacrosse, and appeared in a few school plays.

While driving, he ran into his high school friend John Barrineau (17 years old) in his gold Nissan Altima, and the two decided to race; it was during the race that Cameron hit Jessica and her daughter at the intersection of W Knights Avenue. Jessica was killed on the spot and a day later her daughter succumbed to her injuries. Although witnesses stated that Cameron was traveling at approximately 60 mph, the investigation revealed he was traveling at 100 mph.
Cameron Herrin pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of highway racing.

Cameron and John were arrested and charged with reckless driving resulting in grievous bodily harm, street racing and vehicular murder, while Cameron’s brother Tristan was also arrested and charged with street racing; Cameron and Tristan were released on bail a day later, while John spent 22 days behind bars before his family posted bail. John reached a plea deal in December 2020 and was sentenced to six years behind bars, 200 hours of community service and 15 years probation, and had his driver’s license suspended for five years; he also agreed to testify against Cameron.
Cameron’s lawyers believed it would be unfair for Cameron to receive a harsher sentence than John, claiming that the two boys were equally responsible, even though John had not hit anyone with his car. However, on April 8, 2021, Cameron was sentenced to 24 years behind bars, with the judge explaining that Cameron had previously been stopped several times by police for speeding; although his lawyers appealed the verdict, they were only able to have the street racing charges dropped.
