Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsa new spin-off in the popular border areas series† launches on March 25 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and when it becomes available, it will support crossplay across all platforms, including PlayStation.
Sony is known for being resistant to crossplay and originally blocked support for it in some popular multiplayer games like Fortnite and Rocket League† While the company eventually made it possible for those two games, Borderlands 3s crossplay update launched in June 2021 Not included support for playstation.
However, when Gearbox CEO and President Randy Pitchford revealed: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ cross play support in a tweet on Sunday †through Kotaku), he said that PlayStation crossplay will be enabled and is specifically named Sony for “working together on this”. Co-op multiplayer is a main feature of the gameso support for Sony’s platforms should mean more people can play together.

And in a Twitter response, Pitchford indicated he’s hopeful crossplay will come Borderland 3 at some point too. “BL3 has been supporting crossplay for a while [sic]† he said† “The future addition of PlayStation to crossplay for BL3 is now what I would consider inevitable. More info will follow as soon as we have it…” Sony did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
