Top 10 Expected Anime Series Returning in 2022: Every year is a better year for anime fans. With the continually upward popularity graph of Anime, the entertainment industry has to invest a lot more to cater to the viewers’ ever-growing demand.

And in 2020 also, they are expecting loads of fantastic new anime to barge upon. But while new stories, new heroes, and new villains are on the way to lure our attention, the anime that we left in the midway is coming too with brand new seasons.

Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, many anime had to stop filming their newer seasons causing the inevitable delay. Many of those seasons are returning this year with a new turn of events for us to catch up with our old buddies.

‘My Hero Academia‘ began in 2010 and became one of the best anime of that year. It is now immensely popular and the sixth season of the anime is going to release in the autumn of 2022. The sixth season will center around the life of Izuku Midoriya, a teenager who has no quirk.

We will also get to know Midoriya’s friends with different quirks. This anime is so popular that it has begotten a number of spin-off manga, series, movies, and video games.

This anime revolves around the school life of Shouko Komi who has issues of communication. One of her classmates Tadano helps her to be more open and make one hundred friends. Based on the manga of Tomohito Oda, this anime started in 2016.

On Netflix, it was first released last year with weekly episodes from October to December. The second season is ready to premiere in April this year.

Since the release of the manga by Masamune Shirow in 1989, a number of anime and film adaptations of it have been there. The newest of these is ‘Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045‘. It premiered in April 2020 on Netflix. Though it received a lot of negative reviews, the anime is set to premiere a second season sometime in 2022.

After his girlfriend dumps him, Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student of Tokyo, begins using an online dating app to “rent” a girlfriend. Her name is Chizuru Mizuhara. Though at first, he is not quite attracted to her, when she makes a good impression in front of his family, his view starts to change.

Reiji Miyajima’s manga was first adapted into anime in July 2020. In the first half of the year, the second season of the anime is expected to release.

5. Kaguya Sama: Love is War-

After the anime adaptation of the 2015 manga series in 2019, there have been a live-action film and more seasons of ‘Kaguya Sama: Love is War’. Two proud to confess their love for each other, Miyuki and Kaguya, two high school students participate in a battle to break the other in confessing first.

This very popular romantic comedy is going to release its third season in April 2022 and fans can’t wait to have a winner ultimately.

4. Uzakui-Chan Wants To Hang Out!:

This series belongs to the slice-of-life genre of anime. The first season of this anime was released in July 2020. It centers around two high school students one being Hana Uzaki and the other Uzaki’s friend Shinichi Sakurai, with whom Uzaki wants to hang out.

When she finds out the introverted and quiet personality of Shinichi, she tries to turn him into an extroverted and fun person. The second season of the anime is expected to be on screen in 2022 with no specified date till now.

3. Princess Connect! Re:Dive:

Yuuki is the protagonist of the story who is an amnesiac. She meets some friends over tike with whom she forms a guild whose name is Gourmet Edifice. ‘Princess Connect! Re’Dive’ first launched as a role-playing game in 2018 in Japan for iOS and Android devices.

In April 2020, the first season of the anime adaptation was released. It receives average reviews and a second season of the anime is set to premiere in the middle of January 2022.p

Set many years after the 1960 Japanese sci-fi series of the same name, the anime adaptation aired on Netflix in 2019. Written by Eiichi Shimizu and illustrated by Tomohiro Shimoguchi, the manga is thus a sequel to the 196p series.

In Japan, Ultraman is like Superman. Because of its fame in Asia, in 1980 it became World’s third top-selling character. In the newest adaptation, Ultraman’s power is passed on to his son. The second season of the anime is set to air in the Spring of 2022 on Netflix.

Centered around the life of a young girl Riko, this series will finally premiere its second season after a long time of waiting. Riko’s town is surrounded by a gigantic hole which is called the Abyss.

The anime was first released in 2017. But the making of a second season was postponed for the pandemic. To answer many questions of fans, the second season is finally coming sometime in 2022. Also, a live-action film and a role-playing game are also in the queue.
