– Trial started by administration
– As part of the earlier scheme, one could get direct access to the sanctum sanctorum at a cost of Rs.300
Varanasi: A new rule is now being implemented in Srikashi Vishwanath Temple. According to this rule, henceforth money has to be paid to have Baba Vishwanath’s Sparsh Darshan. The amount is considered by the temple administration. According to a report, this amount can be had from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000.
The Srikashi Vishwanath temple board has started charging Rs 500 from the devotees as a trial. As part of this arrangement, the pilgrims can now enter the sanctum sanctorum directly and get Baba’s touch darshan. Until now, all the devotees directly entered the sanctum sanctorum and performed the Sparsh Darshan, but this caused chaos.
It is worth noting that Sugam Darshan was arranged by the temple administration in December 2018. As part of this system, at a cost of Rs 300, the pilgrims could directly enter the sanctum sanctorum of the temple without queuing. The temple administration says the new arrangement will increase facilities for pilgrims. According to the Srikashi Vishwanath Temple administration, efforts have been made in recent years to improve the facilities for the devotees.
This new system is part of that. It is worth noting that in 2021, after 352 years, the facilities of the devotees were expanded by building a corridor in Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
