Twelve South has announced the Curve Flex, a laptop stand designed with MacBooks in mind that elevates your device from 2 inches to 22 inches and folds flat for portability. The Curve Flex is offered in a matte finish in black or white and retails for $79.99 / £79.99 / €89.99.
This is not the first desktop MacBook riser made by the Apple accessories brand. The Curve Flex combines the best features of some older products in the Twelve South range, combining the adjustable functionality of the HiRise adjustable stand with a similar design to the original Curve laptop stand. Unlike those previous models, however, this latest offering is collapsible, so you can fold the kickstand and throw it in a bag next to your device for on the go. It comes with a travel case for extra protection.

The Curve Flex can raise your laptop’s screen from 2 inches to 22 inches to get closer to eye level for video calls. You can also adjust the angle of your keyboard up to 45 degrees to, for example, relieve wrist pain when typing or simply get a better viewing position of the keys.
It should be noted that while Twelve South designs its products with Apple hardware in mind, there’s nothing stopping any other laptop brand from using the product, provided it’s the right size to rest on the stand. At first glance, the Curve Flex is an attractive offering with a modern design – and that fully foldable functionality would do well to complement hybrid workers, as some of us get used to switching between home and office work.
