Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa has revealed that she and her pets are safe, that she has her finances under control, and that her husband no longer lives with her and is seeking help. The news comes after the content creator, one of Twitch’s most popular and highest paid, revealed that she had been a victim of intimate partner violence at the hands of her husband. During a stream on Oct. 16, Siragusa revealed that she was married, a fact she said she was forced to keep a secret by her husband so as not to “ruin the business model”.

Clips from that stream circulated on social media with a tearful Amouranth being verbally abused by her husband over the phone. She said she was afraid to leave her house because he threatened to harm her pets and that all her financial accounts were managed by him. She shared text messages between her and her husband threatening to destroy her property and drain her bank accounts. “[He] keep you there with the fear and the threats,” she said during the stream. “And then he’s nice again.”
Amouranth’s flow ended abruptly, raising concerns for her safety. The edge has contacted both Twitch and its PR agency, but has not received a response. Amouranth has since confirmed her safety on stream on October 17th. “As of today, I can access all my accounts and finances again,” she said. “I’m looking for legal and emotional advice.”
She thanked her fans and friends for offering help and support, even expressing gratitude to those who don’t like her. “Even haters say, ‘Damn, I hate Amouranth, but you know what, I hope she’s okay.’ That’s so nice,” she said.
But despite her gratitude to benefactors, Siragusa said there were people around her who made the situation worse. she cried her now former cameraman said he used the situation for “personal gain and influence,” and described how, during TwitchCon, he “withheld information” and “was on communication,” which Siragusa said made the incident with her husband “more explosive than [it] had to be.”
Siragusa said the cameraman had called the police against her will, then left the convention, leaving her alone with her husband — a situation Siragusa called “shit.” She then said that the cameraman was encouraging people she didn’t know to show up at her door.
Siragusa — who’s been there? beatenset her house on fire suspected case of arsonand stalked — said: “I monitor my personal data carefully and I don’t think it should be left unattended without my consent. So I’m a bit shocked about that.”
Siragusa said the situation is calm at the moment and she is now “free” and looking forward to being in control of the content she creates.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do next,” she said with a big smile. “Hopefully a lot more animal flows.”
