Rainbow Six is coming to phones and tablets. On Tuesday, Ubisoft announced: Rainbow Six Mobile, a new entry in its long-running first-person shooter franchise that will be exclusive to Android and iOS devices. The company is set to release its industry-leading development from Ubisoft’s Montreal studio later this year. The company says the free-to-play release is the “real” Rainbow Six Siege experience to mobile. Expect five-on-five matches where your team takes turns playing both offensively and defensively. Like with Siegeyou must use the specific weapons, gadgets and skills available to your operator to win.

Ubisoft Montreal says it tweaked the game to make matches shorter, but players can look forward to classic Rainbow Six Siege return cards, including Bank and Border. The same goes for game modes like Secure Area and Bomb. As of today, players can to participate in a series of upcoming tests that Ubisoft plans to hold before the game becomes generally available later this year.
