A 41-year-old tech, who lost his job seven months ago and suffered from mental health problems, was arrested for making false bomb threats to the main secretariat in Vidhaan Soudha in Bengaluru.

By India Today Web Desk: An unemployed tech, allegedly suffering from mental health problems, was arrested by the Bengal Police for making three false bomb threats to the Chief Secretary’s office in Vidhaan Soudha.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Prashanth, reportedly had concerns about his marriage and career. He lived with his parents in the Bengalurus Hebbagodi area and called the chief secretary’s office around 2:06 p.m. Friday, claiming to have placed bombs in the building.
Police officers immediately sprang into action and combed the property with sniffer dogs. When the team realized it was a hoax call, the team managed to trace the call and arrest Prashanth Friday night.
The suspect, born in Hosapete in Vijayanagara district, stayed with his parents after his divorce. He also lost his job seven months ago, a said report from The New Indian Express.
The employees of the CS office immediately alerted Vidhana Soudha’s security police about the hoax calls and the information was passed on to the police. Vidhana Soudha Police have registered a case. He has no criminal history but does appear to have mental health issues, an officer as quoted by TNIE said.
