By Samarth Shrivastava: The official Twitter handle of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath @myogioffice has crossed the 8 million followers mark. The Twitter account of the office of CM Yogi is second only to the PMO in terms of number of followers. CM Yogi’s other Twitter handle @myogiaditityanath has over 22.5 million followers.
Yogi’s popularity transcends boundaries and thousands of people crowd his public gatherings to see and hear him.
YOGI’S OFFICE ACCOUNT SECOND AFTER PMO
Yogi Adityanath’s office account on Twitter is the second largest after Prime Minister Modi’s office account. PM Modi’s office account @PMOIndia has more than 5.14 crore followers. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel office account has only 5 lakh followers while Odisha CM office has only 13 lakh followers. CMO Telangana has 14 lakh, CMO Tamil Nadu has 18 lakh, CMO Rajasthan has 19 lakh and CMO Andhra Pradesh has about 9.5 lakh followers.
In BJP-ruled states, CMO Gujarat has 10 lakh followers and CMO Maharashtra has 37 lakh followers.
CM YOGI’S FOLLOWERS
CM Yogi is active on almost all social media platforms and is way ahead of other prime ministers in the country, major opposition party leaders and even the world’s great leaders in terms of number of social media followers.
Yogi Adityanath’s personal Twitter handle @myogiaditityanath recently overtook former Congress President Rahul Gandhi (2.2 crore) in terms of number of followers on the microblogging site. Chief opposition leader in UP Akhilesh Yadav (1.76 crore) is already way behind on CM Yogi’s personal Twitter account. Yogi’s Twitter followers are more than four times that of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra (51 lakh) and more than 7 times that of Mayawati (29 lakh).
Likewise, Yogi is seven times ahead of Sharad Pawar (27 lakhs) and three times ahead of Mamata Banerjee (70 lakhs). Yogi has about 15 times more followers than Uddhav Thackeray (15 lakhs) and is 5 times ahead of Ashok Gehlot (43 lakhs).
HIGHEST NUMBER OF FOLLOWERS ON KOO APP
CM Yogi also has 60 lakh followers on Koo app which is the highest for anyone on the app so far. On average, 6 messages are posted daily from Yogi’s handle on the app. Yogi made its debut on this app on February 9, 2021. According to the management of the app, Yogi is followed by people from 28 states and more than 70 countries on this app.
Likewise, CM Office UP account in this app has more than 8.27 lakh followers.
Besides Twitter and Koo, Yogi is also popular on social media such as Facebook and Instagram. On Facebook, Yogi has more than 73 lakh followers while he has more than 37 lakh followers on Instagram.
