By Grace Cyril: Pushkar-Gayatris directorial venture Vikram Vedha was one of the highly anticipated movies this year. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan created a lot of buzz on social media with stylish promotions. However, the film performed below expectations. Ideally, Vikram would have entered the Rs 100 crore club by now but currently stands at just Rs 70-71 crore after 12 days. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, Vikram Vedha is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film of the same name.

Directing duo Pushkar and Gayatri’s Vikram Vedha hit theaters on September 30. Since then, audiences have praised the performances of Hrithik and Saif Ali Khan. However, the film failed to draw audiences to the theaters. On Day 12, Vikram Vedha earned about Rs 1.40 crore, bringing the total cash register collection to Rs 71.78 crore. At this rate, the movie could be pulled from theaters soon, especially if new movies come out. Ideally, it would have entered the Rs 100 crore club by now. Meanwhile, on October 11, Vikram Vedha had a total occupancy of 8.88 percent in Hindi.
