Black Panther from 2018 came as a surprise to many. Marvel’s first black superhero movie became a cultural phenomenon, not only raising more than $700 million. But it also won several Oscars. For example, all eyes were on the studio when Black Panther 2 was announced in 2019. However, over time, a few other factors also fueled the hype for the film.

The film would be MCU’s tribute to late actor Chadwick Boseman. And fans want to see what’s next for Black Panther in MCU. Will this movie be the end of the road for the character, or will someone else take the mantle, as in the case of Captain America?

Why are fans convinced of Namor’s presence in Black Panther 2?

Other potential enemies in the Black Panther sequel have been mentioned, including Doctor Doom and Kang. However, fans are pretty sure that another contender in the list of potential Black Panther 2 villains, the King of Atlantis Namor, is a cut above the others. As for the intrigue surrounding the enemy of Black Panther 2, no other villain has received as much attention as Namor.

Black Panther 2

Black Panther 2 will have underwater sequences, according to the set images. This also supports long-held rumors that the film will introduce one of Marvel’s oldest superheroes to the MCU. Tenoch Huerta is rumored to be playing the part. There is no confirmed information regarding Black Panther 2’s plot to support Namor. Much of the buzz surrounding Marvel’s amphibious antihero centered on his live-action debut. And what the Wakandans will face in Phase 4. While Namor isn’t a true Black Panther antagonist, he does have a long and historic feud with T’Challa that easily justifies his inclusion.

Furthermore, Namor is one of the main Marvel characters yet to debut in the MCU. A Black Panther movie has long seemed like the ideal opportunity for the Sub-Mariner to finally join the team. Several news reports and a few revelations have supported the long-held views. The ominous promise in Avengers: Endgame regarding undersea earthquakes was undeniably an allusion to Atlantis.

Fans Want T’Challa Recast!

Black Panther 2

Following the unfortunate death of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman in August 2020, Marvel Studios stated that they would not recast Black Panther in his honor. Black Panther fans, on the other hand, have requested that Marvel Studios recast T’Challa in the MCU for the next Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In 2018, the movie Black Panther became a cultural phenomenon and one of the most popular MCU movies.

More than 50,000 people signed a petition asking for T’Challa to be recast in Black Panther 2. For a long time, the hashtag #RecastTchalla went viral. The debate over T’Challa’s reshuffle rages on and it seems the majority of people are in favor of it. Many people think that recasting the role rather than making T’Challa disappear is the best way to commemorate Boseman’s legacy. In addition, fans of the character recognize his value to the MCU and to people around the world, and want him to continue to contribute to it.

wakanda vs. Atlantis?

Black Panther 2

Fans have interpreted Okoye’s reference to a submarine earthquake off the coast of Wakanda in Avengers: Endgame as solid confirmation that Atlantis is finally coming to the MCU. It was first hinted at on a SHIELD map in Iron Man 2 in 2010, so it’s about time the underwater realm made its big screen debut.

Because Atlantis is so close to Wakanda, the two kingdoms can fight in Black Panther II. Black Panther’s world-building was well appreciated, and the inclusion of Atlantis in the story would greatly expand that world-building.

When is Black Panther 2 coming?

Black Panther 2

In 2019, Marvel confirmed that the 2018 sequel to Black Panther was in its schedule. After suffering delays caused by Covid19, the film finally started production in June 2020. However, in August 2020, the lead actor Chadwick Boseman tragically succumbed to colon cancer. Therefore, production had to be stopped. After that, the film went through several breaks and gaps in succession.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther 2 crew has revealed that production on the film will be officially completed by the end of March 2022. With Wright’s injuries healed, production began in early 2022, and the cast and crew moved to Puerto Rico just for the final play. The film is now in post-production. According to Marvel Studios’ plan, Black Panther 2 Wakanda Forever will be released on November 11, 2022.
