Seasons in Apex Legends are a bit different from other games in that a season is divided into two halves instead of one continuous season. It is possible to play Apex on a number of different maps, and for players participating in the ranked mode, the first split takes place on one map and the second split on another.
The first split for Season 12 took place on Olympus, which was reintroduced to the map rotation this season with several adjustments, while the most recent split for Ranked took place on Kings Canyon.
A number of changes have been mentioned for the ranking in the coming season, including the removal of the RP limit on kills and the ability to earn RP from kills your teammates get even if you fail to deal damage to them .
Season 13 of Apex Legends
Numerous tweaks have been made to Ranked in Apex Legends Season 13, and the following is a rundown of what’s to come:
Kill RP has been eliminated, allowing you to get as many kills as you want, but the base value has been lowered as a result.
The time between assists has been increased from 10 seconds to 15 seconds, giving you a greater chance of receiving your assists. If a player is revived, the assist timer will reset, meaning that even if your teammate kills them after they’re revived, you can still earn the assist points.
Higher level degradation is limited to half of lower level 1, ie Masters are reduced to a maximum of diamond 1 after being demoted from the higher level.
To compensate, the RP thresholds have been increased by 200RP.
When does Apex Legends Season 13 start?
It is currently estimated that season 13 will start on May 10, meaning the patch notes won’t be far after that. The update will be made available at 6pm BST.
The Apex Legends Season 13: The New Castle New Legend
According to the most recent Apex Legends leak, Newcastle is a support legend who possesses several defensive skills. As with most leaks, we caution against taking everything lightly, but these gameplay footage is so detailed it’s hard not to be convinced. Newcastle look set to be ready, despite the fact that some last minute balance adjustments may still need to be made.
There are some quirks in the claimed clip, such as Newcastle using Mirage’s opening selection screen position, but we expect minor issues like this to be resolved before Season 13 premieres. We have reason to believe Newcastle is Bangalore’s brother – Jackson Williams was revealed in an early January Stories from the Outlands video as the brother of the aforementioned Bangalore.
Despite knowing that he will be considered dead sometime in the future, the film focuses on Jackson’s past at the IMC. Remember, this is Apex Legends and no one is officially dead until we see a corpse lying around. Do you remember Mad Maggie? In the comics, she was thrown to death, but a year later she returned to the Apex Games and competed. Finally, Jackson bears a striking physical resemblance to Newcastle, which raises the possibility that the two individuals have more in common than we previously realized.
Skull Town, Apex Legends Season 13, Part 1
In a recent tweet, Josh Medina, senior producer at Respawn Entertainment, hinted that Skull Town could return in the near future. When Skull Town was destroyed in Season 5 of Apex Legends, it was part of Kings Canyon, the game’s first-ever battle royale level.
Apex Legends Season 13 Teaser
On the official Apex Legends Twitter account, the message “remain calm” was accompanied by an animated GIF. In the direction of the map, a radar is displayed with a target marked in red and the words ‘anomaly identified’ written on it.
This could be a reference to the Leviathans, which appear on a number of Apex Legends maps and are considered dangerous. At Kings Canyon, the Leviathans were able to destroy players who got in their way, but they never posed a real threat on the battlefield.
Apparently the Apex Legends YouTube channel has announced the name of Season 13 that Saviors will be in the game. This could be a reference to the cities of Bangalore and Newcastle – Bangalore will be leaving the Apex Games, but Newcastle’s unexpected entry into the Games could keep her from returning to her native planet.
