The fourth season of Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel premiered on the streaming service from February 17, 2022 to March 11, 2022. However, Amazon extended the series for a fifth season on the day of the season 4 premiere. On February 17, 2022, a Tweet from the show’s official address confirmed: “Season 5, and get on it. We’re excited to announce #Mrs. Maisel will be back for a fifth and final season!”
Meanwhile, the creators have also confirmed that Midge Maisel’s journey as a comedian is coming to an end as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 5 will be the last part of the show. During an interview with TVLine creator Amy Sherman-Palladino stated, “We don’t want to let our welcome last too long. Midge has a journey she has to take. It’s the struggle that’s fun, ‘I’m in a penthouse and I’m really rich and i have a lot of chihuahuas.’ We know emotionally where we want to end her and at what point we want to cut it off.”
In addition, as of now, there is no update on the release date of the fifth season. But this is expected to decrease in early to mid-2023.
