During the movie “I am a legend” in 2007, Will Smith made it even clearer that he is one of Hollywood’s most charismatic and reliable movie stars. Based on Richard Matheson’s 1954 book of the same name, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world where most people have been killed or turned into vampires called Darkseekers.
Smith’s character, Dr. Robert Neville, is the only human living in an overrun Manhattan. He tries to find a cure for the disease that changed the world and, hopefully, find other people who survived and can help him find a new home.
In December 2007, the film made more than $585 million worldwide, according to BoxOfficeMojo. It was well received by both movie critics and moviegoers who saw it for the first time. In fact, on Rotten Tomatoes, the film now has the same audience of 68 percent and Tomatometer now scores. It’s been over a decade since the first “I Am Legend” movie came out, but Will Smith isn’t the only well-known actor associated with the project.
I Am Legend 2: What is it about and when is it coming out?
“I am Legend” is about Neville, who is the last person on Earth after a man-made virus kills everyone else. The sequel could be picked up at a time when the cure Neville created has been made available and distributed. It’s not clear if Neville, who died at the end of the film to save the new cure, will live long enough to see it.
It would be interesting to see a split between the Darkseekers and those who are healed or uninfected. This would raise questions about humanity and how we define what needs to be healed. What if some of the infected don’t want to be cured? Is it possible that they have come up with a unique culture and way of survival that they like to live with? Who else can tell them how to live?
On the other hand, if their way of life is bad for other people, how fair is it to leave them alone? These are things that could make for a very interesting sequel, as they would expand on some of the more philosophical themes from the first film.

You may recognize him from “Black Panther,” where he played Killmonger. He is ready to play both the role of Killmonger and help make the movie. Also, “I am Legend 2” will see the return of Will Smith, who played scientist Robert Neville in the first film. He will reprise his role. When I Am Legend 2 comes out
There are two I Am Legend movies. Once pre-production starts, we can expect the film to be released in late 2022 or early mid-2023. The sequel was announced on March 4. There is a lot of uncertainty about what will happen in I Am Legend 2.
