The iPhone 14 plans to defeat the Galaxy S22, its primary competitor. Even though there are other Android smartphone brands to choose from in the market. However, most consumers purchase an iPhone or a Samsung phone. Eventually, the choice ultimately coming down to personal hardware and software preferences.

What are the key features?

Despite their outward differences, those two phones have several key characteristics. The iPhone 14 is the base model and standard by which all other iPhones are judged. The Galaxy S22 is similarly the most popular and basic model of that brand’s smartphones.

Even though the iPhone 14 was only recently revealed, we already know quite a bit about Apple’s next flagship gadget, so we’re going to make a preliminary comparison between the two devices today. We’ll pay special attention to the screen, camera, performance, battery life, etc. So, let’s get down to business right now.

The more expensive iPhone 14 models have ditched their notches in favor of pill-shaped cutouts, but the base model has kept the narrow notch introduced with the iPhone 13. Both of these handsets have 6.1-inch displays.

Some more details about the specifications

Regarding hues, the iPhone 14 comes in Midnight, Starlight, Product RED, Blue, and Purple. However, the Galaxy S22 is available in various colors, including cream, violet, sky blue, and graphite. Even if the names don’t go together, there is overlap here.

The iPhone 14 retains the same 6.1-inch, 1,200-nit, 60-hertz OLED panel as its predecessor. However, we will update the benchmarks below once we do. However, the test results for the Galaxy S22 state it is a widely recognized brand.

The A15 Bionic chipset in the iPhone 13 series returns in the iPhone 14, which is both good and bad news. The good news is that this chipset is fast enough to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Galaxy S22, so that’s the bad news out of the way.

Difficulty in drawing comparisons

Although it is difficult to draw direct comparisons between Apple’s A-series processors and Qualcomm’s chipsets, we will include a Galaxy S22 vs. iPhone 13 test because the two devices’ performance shouldn’t vary greatly (test results will be updated once we have the iPhone 14 in our hands).

The good news is that the iPhone 14 has the same A15 Bionic chipset as the iPhone 13 series. However, the bad news is that many people don’t like this technology. The good news is that this chipset is fast enough to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Galaxy S22. So that’s the bad news out of the way.

Although comparing Apple’s A-series processors and Qualcomm’s chipsets is difficult. Eventually, it totally depends on the choice of the users because the two devices’ performance shouldn’t vary greatly.
