In July 2020, Charli unfollowed both Lil Huddy and Nessa Barrett and tweeted “I hope she was worth it”, implying that Chase had cheated on Charli with Nessa.
Fans believe Lil Huddy may have referenced Charli in his new song “All the Things I Hate About You.”
A year later, In April 2021, Chase released a single called “America’s sweetheart”, which he confirmed was about Charli. Charli starred in the music video for the same.
