Marilee Fiebig is a corporate immigration attorney formerly based in Atlanta, Georgia. However, she is better known as the wife of ex-CNN host and now ABC correspondent, TJ Holmes. Holmes’ wife, Fiebig, is an experienced lawyer and businessman in the fashion and entertainment industry.

Born in October 1977, Fiebig is one of three children born to her parents, William and Pauline Fiebig. Marilee’s father William is a Peace Corps volunteer, while her mother, Pauline is an African immigrant. Fiebig describes her father as a true humanitarian and her superhero.

Mrs. Holmes was born in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She immigrated to the US with her family at the age of 5.

Fiebig’s family returned to the African continent decades later. On his return, Marilee’s father used his credentials in agronomy and genetics to provide them with the means to bring agriculture and fishing to impoverished villages and communities across Africa. He also carried out similar projects in other developing parts of the world.

Marilee’s mother, on the other hand, would try to emphasize the importance of education for Fiebig and her siblings. Fiebig’s mother received her US citizenship when her children were elementary school students in Florida. Marilee says that her mother’s becoming an American citizen was one of the proudest moments of her life.

Marilee is now a senior director for diversity, inclusion and connection at Save The Children. The wife of the Arkansas-born news correspondent joined the organization in the summer of 2021 and has remained with the organization ever since.

She began her career as an immigration attorney by first working at Powell Goldstein LLP, Atlanta, in 2005. Three years later, she would work for Alston and Bird, before returning to work as an immigration attorney for another firm, Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, and Loewy.

Marilee, after working as a lawyer at several law firms, would join Wilhelmina and work there for almost 4 years. As mentioned, she was the vice president of operations and general counsel of Willhelmina International Inc.

Her responsibilities then consisted mainly of facilitating the immigration process for young people all over the world. After their arrival, she also made sure that they could work in the space free of exploitation, intimidation and other abuse.

She is also a contributing factor in building out the company’s internal operational structure. Marilee also deals with personnel issues, contracts and corporate disputes. Apparently she chose law as her profession because she wanted to work in international relations and diplomacy.
