Louis Gumpenberger murder case!
Born in St. Charles, Missouri, Louis Gumpenberger used to live with his mother, Margaret Birch. During a tragic incident in the year 2005, Louis Gumpenberger was seriously injured in a serious car accident. Shortly after the incident, a person named Pam Hupp called 911 in O’Fallon.
After reports of an active home invasion, police rushed to the home to find Louis dead with more than one gunshot wound to his body. His injuries indicate that he was shot at least twice with a firearm.
Why did Pam Hupp kill Louis?
Pamela Neumann Hupp was a schoolteacher and mother of four living in Dellwood, Missouri. Initially living a normal life, Pam first made headlines in August 2016 when she was accused of twice shooting Louis Gumpenberger, which caused his death. During the trial of the case, Pamela claimed that her action to shoot the man was in self-defense.
She said Louis followed her into her house and stabbed her in the throat. According to her accounts, Russ ordered him to kidnap her, take her to the bank so he could get his money back, and then kill her. However, the police did not take her seriously. A week later, she was detained and charged with both murder and armed criminal activity.
Where is Pam Hupp now?
Pam attempted suicide on August 23 with a ballpoint pen in the toilet after being arrested. Officials determined her actions were a blatant indication of guilt, resulting in her $2 million bail and the prosecution’s subsequent clarification that she would pursue the death penalty. Pam maintained her innocence by confessing to the crime before her trial began by signing the Alford plea agreement. In August 2019, for example, she was given a life sentence without the possibility of release.
Further investigation led to Pam being charged in July 2021 with first degree murder and armed criminal acts in connection with Betsy’s death. The former charges were dropped in September. Pam is currently 63 years old and works at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Livingston County, Missouri. She is awaiting her trial.
