So far 100 people have lost their lives in the suicide attack on the mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan. More than 200 people injured in the blast are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Many of them are fighting between life and death. That is, the death toll can increase further. The magnitude of the attack can be gauged from the fact that the bodies of those who died in the blast on Monday afternoon continued to emerge from the debris till Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Pakistan, which has always been supporting terrorism, has now started realizing that terrorists are harming their country only. After the Peshawar blast, the statement of Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has come. He said, ‘Just as in our country (Pakistan), there are terrorist attacks on the worshipers every day. Such attacks on devotees never happen in India or Israel.
Defense Minister gave a statement in the National Assembly
According to the report of Pakistani media outlet Dawn, Khwaja Asif has said this in the National Assembly (Pakistan’s Parliament). He said, ‘Those offering Namaz were not killed even in India and Israel, but this happened in Pakistan.’ Appealing to the people of Pakistan to come forward together in this hour of grief, the Defense Minister said that now is the time to fight against terrorism. He said that we need to reform our home (Pakistan).
Tehreek-e-Taliban has taken responsibility
Please tell that Pakistan Taliban has taken the responsibility of this attack. Pakistan Taliban is also known as Tehreek-e-Taliban. TTP had issued a statement after the blast saying that they have avenged the murder of their leader Umar Khalid Khurasani in August last year. By openly claiming this, TTP has in a way given an open challenge to the government of Pakistan. Umar Khalid Khurasani was killed in Afghanistan in August 2022 when a blast targeted his car. In this, 3 people including Khorasani were killed.
Suicide bomber’s head recovered
