Yashoda box office collection Day 2: Samantha’s film works wonders abroad
Samantha’s Yashoda released November 11. Day 2 early estimates suggest the film is doing well abroad.

By Anindita Mukherjee: Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s movie, Yashoda, hit theaters November 11. The pan-Indian multilingual film starred the actress as and in the titular role. The film did well in India and abroad on Day 1. The early estimates from Day 2 are here and it suggests that the film was ringing the box office in India and abroad.
YASHODA DAY 2 BO COLLECTION
Early estimates of Yashoda’s Day 2 box office collection is finally here. In the film, Samantha plays the lead role. In India, the film is likely to exceed Rs 4 crore on its second day. The tweet from trade analyst Ramesh Bala suggests that the film has worked wonders abroad. His tweet reads: “.@Samanthaprabhu2’s #Yashoda is heading for a big US opening. It has already crossed $350K on Saturday night local time (sic).”
Another tweet reads: “Despite a limited release, @Samanthaprabhu2’s #Yashoda finds a place in the Singapore Box office Top 5 for the weekend (sic).”
YASHODA TRAILER
The trailer for Samantha-led Yashoda was revealed on October 27. It featured the Southern superstar as a surrogate mother. The action thriller started with the life of surrogate mothers in a center. However, appearances can be deceiving. Samantha later sensed that something was wrong with the surrogate mothers and the center where they were being held. The trailer ended with Samantha performing high-octane action sequences.

ABOUT YASHODA
Yashoda is released in five Indian languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. While Yashoda is not Samantha’s Bollywood debut, the bilingual film will be dubbed and released in Hindi along with other languages. In addition to Samantha, the film also features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan.
The music in Yashoda was composed by Mani Sharma, while the makers recruited M Sukumar as cameraman and Marthand K Venkatesh as editor. Directed by Hari and Harish, Yashoda is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies and released on November 11, 2022.
