Former Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi spoke about the murder case of Shraddha Walker in Delhi and said, “Parents should keep an eye on their daughter even if the girl says she has nothing to do with you.” Speaking to India Today, she said the responsibility lies with the parents and relatives to inquire about her whereabouts at such a late hour. She said Shraddha’s parents should have been more “curious”, adding that the neighbours, the owner of the flat where she lived, should have taken responsibility. “It’s a failure of society, friends have failed too,” she added.
